During one of my breaks at work yesterday, I went to the health & beauty section. I was looking for some new eyeliner and I saw the aisle of hair dyes. As soon as I saw it, I decided I was sick of having blonde in my hair and bought 2 boxes of Garnier 100% Colour in Medium Brown, which is actually really dark brown - but I already knew that because I used to use that colour all the time.

I do that sometimes. I see something I like and decide to just go for it. I mean appearance-wise. I just had the blonde put in 3 weeks ago. But I actually missed having dark hair because it looks better on me.

I added a music player to the site! Just click on "Music" under the Nav on the left. I have to change some of the songs still.

I've been thinking about adding more to the site - yummy but healthy recipes, articles on health & beauty, etc. I was planning on opening another site, Style Central, but it's just too much work. It's only about 1/4 done and I've had the site for months. I'll probably get around to it later in the summer.

Right now I want to focus on this site because I let it die for so long. Plus, I'm getting like 50 unique hits a day. They just randomly shot up one day. It was actually a day when I wasn't on the computer at all - I went to Canada's Wonderland. When I got home a couple days later I looked at the stats and it said my highest day was July 20th with 106 unique hits.

I think I'm going to end this here, seeing as I've written a novel.

I've been watching 3-5 episodes per night for the last 3 or 4 weeks. Well, not every night. But for the last 4 days it's been every night.

I'm pretty sure it's getting to be an obsession. Last night I started watching it at around 12:30. Didn't stop til 3AM and I wasn't even tired. I looked at the clock and this was my expression:
I didn't even feel tired. I just decided to go to bed. At least I have will power.

I've made about 10 so far. 5 summer, 1 lyric, 4 heartbreak. Expect lots to come very soon! I'll probably end up making lots more for the rest of the week. I don't work very much this week at all - finally! I've been enjoying my relaxation time lately. Didn't have much of that for the first half of the summer with my second job, which is why I quit.

First of all, it was a very boring job. Second, they expected me to have a consistent schedule or they'd find someone else. They knew from the beginning that I have another job and it was my first priority. I can't help it if the schedule there isn't consistent. And thirdly, I don't want to look back on this summer as working 24/7. I was working at least 6 days/week and some of those days were 12-hour work days (because I'd work both jobs in one day sometimes).

Finally! Though I'm not finished Style Central yet, I figured I should blog again like I've been meaning to do for the last week. It's been a month and a day since I last blogged.

So yeah. I have about 15-20 more pages to finish, but the layout & CSS are both finished as well as the forum. Yes, there will be a forum. It's only beauty/fashion/health & fitness related, though. I didn't see the point in adding sections about homework and stuff like that because that's not what SC is about.

Lots has been going on lately. Monday was Family Day in Canada and I went to my Grandma's apartment with my Dad and we went out for dinner. I bought Jarrod's mom 2 birthday gifts because her birthday is on Thursday. I was invited to go out to dinner with them and I figured I'd feel really awkward if I just went for the dinner and didn't have a gift or anything for her.

I also bought Jarrod's present for our one year anniversary that's coming up on the 25th. I'm not going to say what it is on here, though, because I know he reads this every once in a while. We're celebrating on the 22nd because the 25th is a Monday and we want to be able to go out for dinner and a movie, and we would be pretty limited for time on a Monday. So we're celebrating on a Friday.

And I have Monday to Friday off work this week! I only have to work Sunday and Saturday then we got Monday off for Family Day and we get paid for it.

I had a cold for two weeks. Now I've just got a slightly runny nose - but not as much as before. I was leaving every class at least once to go to the bathroom and blow my nose. It was so gross.

I'm at school right now. I'm in one of the computer labs, pretending to work on an assignment. But I'm already finished and I don't feel like doing anything else.

Finally, Kawaiiville is back up.
I added the girl who was auctioning the two layouts to MSN and she said to give her a couple days because school is hectic right now for her. But I've pretty much won the layouts for $4.00, which isn't bad, considering the quality.

I'm so excited to get my new website up and running. I'm constantly thinking of more ideas.

OH! I thought of something this morning that I could add on to the product reviews. I could suggest cheaper alternatives that are similar in quality. I was using an eyeshadow I've had for a long time but this is like the third time I've used it and I realized it's almost the same colour as the gold eyeshadow I reviewed, but it doesn't last quite as long - it is cheaper, though.

I found a host for Style Central - Meredith at Carouse.net. Unfortunately, someone keeps hacking into their server so Meredith is going to host me with her other site, Quotetastic.net once she gets the details. Now I just have to wait for Kville to come back so I can get the layouts I was bidding on. I feel so lost without Kville. I'm on PBF all the time because it's the next best thing.

I'm going to my uncle's funeral tomorrow. He passed away on Wednesday morning, which would account for why I haven't blogged lately. He had lung cancer. They found it in October, but it was too late. He had it for 26 years from chemotherapy treatment being done on cancer he had a long time ago. Since October, he was living with my Dad and I in the spare bedroom. At least we were able to have one last Christmas with him. I was supposed to work today, but when I went in last night, I cried 3 times because quite a few people had been coming up to me, telling me that they're sorry for my loss, etc. I know they don't mean any harm and they have good intentions, but it's hard to be constantly reminded of the one thing you're trying not to think about for 4 1/2 hours.

I bought the domain for Style Central and I've got a host. But right now, they're having some problems - I guess someone hacked into their system?
Hopefully the matter is resolved soon. I uploaded some pages, but because of the hacking, they show up as a 404 error.
And due to Kawaiiville being down, I can't get the two layouts I wanted for Style Central (I was bidding on them and was about to win!) so I have to use a premade layout from Divergente that's sort of a similar style.
I hope Kville's back up soon.

I'm thinking about making a new website. I won't close this site - I'd like to keep this as mainly a blog and a little content.

I want my new site to be like a survival guide-type thing for the everyday girl. I kind of got the idea from the layout that's currently up. It's going to have tutorials (graphic AND makeup), icons (celebrity icons will be over there), how-to's, advice, recipes, and a small personal blog. But the CuteNews over there will be mainly used as an update section for that site. I'll make this website more personal and the new one more geared towards you, the visitor.

I may even have different product reviews because I have so many to review at home

I know I haven't been updating for a while, but it's the holidays. Can you blame me?
On Friday night, it was my school's semi-formal. Then last night, my best friend had her 16th birthday party.
And on two forums I'm a part of, it's Secret Santa time, so I've been making gifts for two people and I've been buying gifts for my family & Jarrod.

About half an hour ago, I was reading come more college books. I've narrowed it down to 3 colleges. And I think for about $50, you can apply to 3 colleges then it's an additional amount for every extra. I really hope I get into Fanshawe because it's the closest and I can live at home, which saves me the cost of housing. The other two are Humber (located in Toronto) and Loyalist (in Belleville). At Fanshawe, I'd take the Financial Planning Services program, but if I end up going to one of the other two, I'd take the Accounting program because they don't have a Financial Planning program.
I'm going to contact someone at Loyalist because it doesn't even recommend any courses in their book - the only requirement they have is a high school diploma
And I'm also going to ask her what percentage of graduates from that program have a job now that directly relates to the Accounting program. That'll give me a good indication of whether or not it's a good school.

Okay, I'm back. Lately I've been really getting serious about picking what programs I want to take and what colleges I'm going to apply to, etc.
So I took a look in the Guidance Office today during lunch and they told me I could take as many college books as I wanted, as long as there was more than one copy there. So I took about 7 or 8 (and I can keep them! ) and it's so confusing.
And the worst part is, the job that I'm most interested in (Event Planner) isn't even offered at the closest colleges. The closest one is a couple hours away.
And I don't want to move away - I'd prefer to stay at home so I don't spend more money than I need to, like on rent, groceries, etc. I'd already have to pay for car insurance, gas, and school. Not to mention movies and stuff I'd be doing outside of school.
And I hate that we have to choose so young. I mean, we're living longer now, so what's the rush? They put so much pressure on us when we're only 15 or 16 years old. Everyone's always asking me, "So what do you want to be when you're older?"
And the fact that everything we do as a teenager will determine our future is scary.
Anyways. Back to stressing over colleges for me.

Last night I had my hair done - she didn't get a chance to trim it, though, because something else came up so she's going to do it another day. But she dyed it for me. It's reallyyy dark brown now.
& there's only four days until 9 months with Jarrod.
It'll be 10 months on Christmas day.
I have to go right now, but I'll add to this later tonight probably.

Okay, first off. Someone pointed out to me that you can't comment on here. So I'm wondering if it's because I used multiple categories? On my boyfriend's page, the comments work fine and I only used one category there. I made a thread on two forums, so until I get this solved, I guess I'll just stick to one main category that describes most of what I've written about.

Secondly, I just joined an amazing forum a few days ago. I joined, thinking "Here's another forum I'm going to join and never post" but that wasn't the case. I have over 100 posts in just four or five days! I'm only active on three forums out of about twenty that I've joined. It's called Xplicit and is run by the wonderful Angiie. Join using this link. I'm part of the staff at Da-Mania's new Magazine (located here), and I was supposed to be an advice columnist, but they fired the whole staff except me and the other advice columnist. So I've offered to be a product reviewer and editor. I just bought two new face products. I still need ideas on what to grade them on. I've chosen price and effectiveness, but I'm still unsure of other categories. If you have any ideas, feel free to post!

It's my dad's birthday today. But I'll save him the embarrassment and won't post his age online. I bought him a cake that says "Happy Birthday Dad" on it. I work at a grocery store, so I bought it while I was on break yesterday from the bakery department.
