Ever wonder how I make the "edit" section in my blogs? They're called blockquotes and I'm going to show you how to adjust this base code for your website!
Here's the base code:
I generally like to keep the font colour and size the same as the rest of my blog entry. But that's just a matter of personal opinion.
The things that will most likely be changed to fit your site will probably be the following:
background-color
border-left
To start, we'll edit the background colour.
I like to keep the background a light colour. Not too much darker than your main content area background colour. For this particular example, I'm going to use
a light grey.
Moving on to the left border colour, width, and style.
I like this to be one of the main colours within my layout. So I'm going to use pink because the skin I'm currently using is mainly pink.
And there you go. There's not much I can expand on here, so just feel free to edit your blockquote any way you'd like and when you're finished, put it into your CSS. You can add border-right, border-top, border-bottom, and so much more. Just experiment!
